New at Parc national du Mont-Orford: Nature cabins and rabaska outings.

Parc national du Mont-Orford offers accommodations in Nature cabins, as well as rabaska trips on Étang aux Cerises with a park ranger as a guide.

Rabaska outings on Étang aux Cerises

Paddle a rabaska (freight canoe) to the heart of the Étang aux Cerises valley. A park ranger will unveil the mysteries of this small lake, in all its richness and diversity. This delightful spot is home to some fascinating flora and fauna, with floating islands, loons, snapping turtles, river otters, carnivorous plants and more.

For registration and payment, contact the Parc national du Mont-Orford: 819 843-9855. Rabaska capacity: 12 people (if not enough people register, participants can still make the interpretation trip in a regular canoe).
Duration of outing: 1 hr 30 min
Cost: $8.78 for adults and $4.39 for children 6 years and older; taxes and park entry fee are not included. (Minimum age: 6 years old.)
2013 timetable:

  • From June 22 to August 18, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10 a.m. and on Thursdays and Sundays at 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays 24 and 31 August at 2:30 p.m.
  • Sundays 25 August and 1 September at 10 a.m.
  • Monday 2 September at 10 a.m.
  • From 7 September to 13 October, Saturdays and Sundays at 1 p.m.
  • Monday 14 October at 1 p.m.
