The destination of Memphremagog, located in Eastern Townships, is divided into four regions: Magog-Orford, the Border Region, the Massawippi Valley and finally, the Missisquoi Valley. Every region has a history and a distinctive identity. More than 115 attractions, 110 lodging establishments, 50 restaurants, a provincial park and two ski centres are offered to you. Don’t miss anything, contact a tourist agent or visit one of tourist offices in our region.

Magog was founded at the end of the 18th century. The economy then was built on the wood industry. The arrival of the textile mills (1884) changed the face of this little village into that of a city. Today its economy is diversified and the population enjoys an exceptional quality of life in an inviting environment. Its panoramic roads are among the most beautiful and provide, at times a view of Lake Memphremagog and many affluent homes bordering the lake, while at other times a view of historic monuments such as the Saint-Benoit-du-Lac Abbey.

Orford Township

Although for a long time it remained uninhabited due to its mountainous area, today this municipality is a favorite spot for vacationers with several prominent resort hotels. In addition, the Parc national du Mont-Orford offers a wide variety of activities.
